Lisa Su, for those in the dark, is a Silicon Valley genius. She is one of the biggest names in the semiconductor business, a notable Forbes name for one of the most creative female minds in history, and now, of course, she unveils to us the THREADRIPPER.
Amazing, Magical, Fantastic. These are what simply make the Threadripper so, simply, beautiful. This new processor by AMD is a powerhouse. A new socket, a new size, and of course, new numbers with threads. Be amazed. Be very amazed.
Unlike other processor architectures, Su boasts the Threadripper’s awesome power in her press releases: this one is pretty simple. 16 cores, 32 threads. What more could you ask for?
For Machine Intelligence… and Virtual Reality.”
It’s straight out of a sci-fi movie. Su, in one of her transcripts in a press release in Taiwan, tells us, this is for “gaming, machine intelligence, augmented and virtual reality,” and the like. It uses the TR4 socket. Michael Passingham, a journalist, states that the Threadripper is “one of the biggest we’ve ever seen,” and was he lying? Absolutely not! You’ll need your entire palm just to hold it!
Lisa Su stated in her work, “AMD is the only company in the industry that has both high performance compute and high-performance graphics that we can put together in components, in systems as well as in custom solutions and so we’re very, very proud of that capability.”
With the dawn of a new computer world, we could expect nothing more but the best from AMD. Revolutionary power should meet nothing but revolutionary power as well, so let’s see how other companies would last!
