Hailed as the biggest gaming event in Southeast Asia, the recently concluded Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) has just proven that it really is.
With a three-day (October 27 – 29) run at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, the ESGS 2017 busted in as another blockbuster phenomenon in the gaming community.
With a jampacked venue, the event was graced by a brood of gaming enthusiasts, cosplayers, and video game fans. The audience, whatever kind, were treated to countless fun-filled activities, high-intensifying games, and incredible raffle prizes which all took place place in short-minute intervals.
The main highlights of the event were Brawlfest, a series of different competitions with different genres facilitated by Pinoy Playstation, Secret Base, and PlayBook E-Sports; Indie Arena, a showcase of premiere games by independent developers and publishers; and Cosplay Competition, an exquisite exhibit of the most in-demand video games characters and personas.
The event also showcased the latest games, gadgets, PC peripherals and components from some of the biggest names in technology, who also happened to be the major exhibitors. They include:
AGON, AOC, HyperX, MSI, Philips Monitors, R² Games, Secret 6, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Thermaltake, Ubisoft, and ViewSonic.
As it happened, only an extreme kind of e-Sports action could be witnessed from this year’s ESGS and this wouldn’t be possible without the hardwork and great efforts of its organizer, Gariath Concepts, and event partners such as 99.5 Play FM, Animax, GDAP, GGNETWORK.TV, PLDT, and Taipei Game Show.
Till next year’s ESGS!
