Manila, Philippines — Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501), today announced an expansion of its distribution agreement with MSI – ECS Philippines, Inc. beyond Singapore and China into the Philippines. A value-added distributor, MSI-ECS offers the skills, experience and solutions experience to sell and support partners and customers interested in business transformation using Hitachi Vantara offerings.

The expanded distribution partnership reflects Hitachi Vantara’s aggressive growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region. In the Philippines, Hitachi Vantara and MSI-ECS will leverage the growing demand for IT solutions across the banking, telecommunications, commercial, government and media industries and across existing and new customer opportunities, including those outside in big cities outside of Manila. With MSI-ECS as a value-added distributor and strategic Resell partner within its Hitachi Vantara Partner Program, the companies will look to grow market share in the Philippines significantly over the next two years.

“Our partners are absolutely critical to the success of Hitachi Vantara. As such, new partnerships, like that with MSI-ECS, that bring new capabilities and provide a mutual devotion to helping customer achieve business outcomes are always welcome. And, as we look to address the growing market opportunity in the Philippines, we believe MSI-ECS has the expertise, relationships and offerings to grow the business substantially as they have done in other regions,” said Joe Ong, vice president, field sales, ASEAN, at Hitachi Vantara.

Jimmy Go, President and CEO of MSI – ECS Phils.Inc. added, “We are pleased to be trusted by Hitachi Vantara as its authorized distributor in the Philippines. Not only are we excited to add Hitachi Vantara best-in-class offerings to our portfolio, but we look forward to opening new doors, expanding opportunities and closing business across the Philippines with a joint focus on driving desired business outcomes and positive customer experience.”
